Chemistry Calculators

Use these free calculators to complete three common chemistry tasks: prepare a dilution, balance a neutral chemical equation, or calculate molar mass from a formula. Each tool runs in your browser and shows the result along with the calculation behind it.

What each tool assumes

The dilution calculator applies solute conservation and the ideal volume relationship C₁V₁ = C₂V₂. Its V₂ value is the final total solution volume, not automatically the amount of solvent to pour in.

The equation balancer handles neutral formulas and finds a smallest positive integer ratio. It does not yet balance ionic charges or electron half-reactions.

The molar mass calculator supports element symbols, grouped formulas, and hydrates. It uses CIAAW 2024 abridged standard atomic weights where available; natural isotope composition can make a real sample differ slightly.
